Why This Week Feels Like a Lot (Because It Is)
A Rare Planetary Pileup in Aries
If this week feels heavier or more charged than usual, you’re not imagining it. Seven planetary bodies are gathered in Aries right now, all at once. That’s a once-in-a-lifetime event, and your nervous system is picking up on it.
I’m talking about the Sun, the Moon (passing through on 4/15), Mercury (entering on 4/14), Mars, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron all in Aries at once. Neptune won't return to Aries for another 165 years!
Aries, which is ruled by Mars, is the sign of bold moves and new beginnings. A week like this can feel like you’re going for a ride on a high-speed train. You may feel like, “I should just go for it”. That’s the gift but it’s also the challenge. With this much fiery energy in one place, you must ask yourself, “What am I finally ready to do?” You are setting the stage for your future and it’s time for focused action.
I should tell you that I'm writing this inside this powerful energy. I'm launching Astrology with Monica, right now, during this Aries pileup. That wasn't planned. The sky just lined up and I happened to be ready. So when I say "pick one brave action, not five," I'm saying that to myself too. My action is showing up here, in your inbox, before everything is perfect. Your brave action can be smaller or bigger. It just has to be true to you.

Two moments to know about this week.
Thursday brings the Sun together with Chiron. Chiron is the point in astrology that represents our oldest wound and our deepest medicine. In Aries, that wound is almost always about the right to take up space and act on our own behalf without apologizing first, something many of us struggle with. Don’t fight these feelings, write them down and reflect on earlier times when you felt that way. Naming it on paper takes some of its power away and shows you what's underneath.
Then on Friday, we have the New Moon in Aries, the fresh start of the astrological year. New Moons in Aries are for first steps and small brave acts. This one sits right next to Chiron, which means whatever you’re starting is connected to something you’ve been afraid of for a long time. This is your opportunity to move through your fear.
So what do you do with all this? Here are three practical things to remember this week.
Pick one brave action, not five. Aries energy moves quickly and the more focused you are, the more you’ll get from this week.
Rest in the middle of the week. Wednesday is the dark Moon, the natural pause before a new beginning. Honor it.
Don’t take on more than necessary this week. Don’t try to do it all this week, especially hard things. Have a clear focus just on what needs to be done as you may find getting things done to be more challenging than usual.
